Remembering Anna Magnani

The symbol of this fourth edition of Contemporanea is one of the most iconic and unforgettable figures in Italian cinema: Anna Magnani. Honoring this legendary star of the silver screen will be her granddaughter, Olivia Magnani, who will introduce a special screening of Luchino Visconti’s restored masterpiece, Bellissima.

Contemporary Gazes

A screening series celebrating contemporary cinema, featuring award-winning films from some of the world’s most prestigious festivals—from Cannes to Locarno and Rotterdam—presented by the filmmakers themselves. This year’s guest directors include Laura Luchetti, Adele Tulli, Jessica Woodworth, and Yvonne Sciò.

International Competition

Focused on emerging female directors, the competition will feature a curated selection of short films from across the globe. The entries will be evaluated by a jury led by Laura Luchetti, while the filmmakers will also vie for the DAMS Award, judged by a panel of students from the University of Turin.

Behind the Lens
